HuurScout Terms & Conditions (Revised)

These Terms & Conditions (the "Agreement") govern your use of HuurScout's services and applications. By using our services, you accept and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Definitions

"Client": any person or entity using HuurScout's services.

"Agreement": these Terms & Conditions, as accepted.

"App": the HuurScout mobile application distributed via the Apple App Store.

"Mapbox" and "RevenueCat": third-party services integrated into the App—Mapbox for mapping and RevenueCat for managing in-app subscriptions.

2. Applicability

These Terms apply to all services, offers, the App, and any agreements related to HuurScout usage.

3. Offers & Acceptance

Offers (e.g., promotions or subscriptions) remain non-binding unless explicitly stated and may expire if service availability changes.

4. Service Delivery

HuurScout commits to delivering services professionally, leveraging best practices. The App is designed to meet Apple’s Performance guidelines for robustness and completeness.

5. Adjustments to Agreement

The Agreement may be modified at any time with mutual written consent.

6. Payment Terms

Prices exclude VAT. Clients must settle payments within 14 days of invoicing. Subscription purchases are handled via Apple’s in‑app purchase system managed through RevenueCat in compliance with App Store business guidelines.

7. Consumer Rights

Consumer clients have the right to withdraw within 14 days under EU consumer protection laws.

8. Liability

HuurScout is not liable for damages due to inaccurate information provided by the Client, unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. Force Majeure

HuurScout bears no responsibility for delays or failures due to unavoidable events beyond control.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights belong to HuurScout. Reproduction or distribution requires explicit, prior written permission. The App also respects Apple’s IP/IP-related guidelines.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We adhere to GDPR. A clearly accessible and functional privacy policy is linked both in the App Store metadata and within the App itself, satisfying Apple’s Guideline 5.1.1(i).

Any personal data collection or use—for example, location data (e.g., via Mapbox)—is transparently disclosed and purpose‑justified per Apple’s privacy expectations. See our Privacy Policy for details.

12. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to safeguard confidential information and not disclose it without written consent.

13. Modification of Terms

HuurScout may update these Terms. Changes take effect 30 days after notification to users.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate the Agreement with one month’s written notice.

15. Governing Law

Dutch law governs all agreements. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable to HuurScout.
