HuurScout Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

• Client: any natural person or legal entity using HuurScout’s services.
• Agreement: these Terms & Conditions, as accepted by the Client.
• App: the HuurScout mobile application, available through the Apple App Store.
• Mapbox and RevenueCat: third-party providers integrated into the App (respectively for maps and subscription management).

2. Applicability

These Terms apply to all offers, services, the App, and agreements related to the use of HuurScout, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Offers & Acceptance

All offers (such as promotions or subscriptions) are non-binding unless explicitly stated. Offers may lapse if service availability changes.

4. Service Delivery

HuurScout provides services in a professional manner and in line with industry standards. The App complies with Apple’s performance and completeness guidelines.

5. Amendments to the Agreement

Changes to the Agreement are only valid if confirmed in writing by both parties.

6. Payment Terms

• All prices are exclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.
• Payments must be made within 14 days of the invoice date.
• Subscriptions purchased through the App are processed via Apple’s in-app purchase system and managed by RevenueCat, in line with App Store guidelines.

7. Consumer Rights

Consumer Clients are entitled to withdraw from the Agreement within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.

8. Liability

• HuurScout is not liable for damages resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client.
• Liability of HuurScout is limited to direct damages and to the amount paid out under HuurScout’s liability insurance.
• HuurScout is not liable for indirect damages (including consequential loss or lost profits), unless caused by intent or gross negligence.

9. Force Majeure

HuurScout is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including disruptions by third parties, network outages, or government measures.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to HuurScout’s services, content, and software remain with HuurScout. Reproduction, distribution, or use without prior written consent is prohibited.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

• HuurScout processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• A privacy policy is available at all times in the App and in the App Store.
• Personal data (such as location data via Mapbox) is only processed for legitimate purposes and, where required, with the Client’s consent.

12. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to treat all confidential information as strictly confidential, unless disclosure is required by law or prior written consent has been given.

13. Amendments to Terms

HuurScout may update these Terms & Conditions. Amendments will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect.

14. Termination

• The Client may terminate the Agreement with one month’s written notice.
• HuurScout may terminate the Agreement if the Client breaches these Terms & Conditions.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where HuurScout is established.
